Schonstedt REX Multi-Frequency Pipe Locator

Rex is a multi-frequency locator with a price tag comparable to single-frequency locators. The sleek design of the transmitter is less than 2” thick and weighs less than 4 lbs. The REX stands apart from the rest of the single frequency locator field in that you can choose up to 5 Watts of transmitting power at 33K Frequency.  This is specially important when attempting to locate pipes in City environments where you have multiple conductors in your streets that can ‘suck up’ the power in normal locators with only 1 Watt.  In addition the REX also has 83K Inductive frequency making it an excellent ‘drop-box’ or inductive locator when you can’t hook up. The REX also acts as a ‘Cable Avoidance Tool’ or “CAT” : pull the gun out of the case and just turn it on, when you walk across a street or sidewalk it will automatically tell you if there are any power lines under your feet and it will give you the depth of those lines without any hook-up!
