The Zephyr sign stand system is constructed of a steel plate molded into a rubber base which weighs 38 lbs. Tested and certified to meet the crashworthy requirements of NCHRP-350. The mast stand is locked into place but can be easily raised and snapped into its upright position. A plastic corner pocket built into the sign snaps and locks into the sign mast automatically when pushed down. The 28" x 18" base is only 4" high when folded for storage and can't be damaged like other signs with legs that stick out and get bent. The Zephyr stand will also accommodate any sign by the use of the optional "Universal Sign Holder" (4-287). This sign holder snaps into the mast allowing the use of rigid or fold up signs from any manufacturer.
SIGNS standard signs (4-280 & 4-281) are a bright orange open weave mesh that lets air pass through but is tough enough to withstand rough handling. 4-282 & 4-283 Series Signs are Reflective Engineers Grade vinyl that have a shiny surface and reflect at night 4-284 & 4-285 Series Signs are Diamond Reflective that reflects light Both DAY & NIGHT Each sign comes with a Fiberglass cross frame with factory sewn in corner pockets and a Velcro loop tie to keep the sign rolled up when not in use.

Any
of the signs listed below that have the word "AHEAD" in the legend have a Velcro
or snap overlay system that allows the use of an overlay ARROW. The optional
arrow (4-290) can be quickly attached by either snap or Velcro to cover the
word "AHEAD" directing traffic right or left depending on the choice of
direction. This makes it easy to detour traffic around an excavation site or to
detour traffic when roads are closed.
