Hydrant Thawing Unit |
| Effectively melts ice and safely restores frozen and out of service fire
hydrants to normal operating conditions. Built in features include Water Level
Sight Gauge, ASME Pop Safety Valve with flow down outlet, Pressure gauge , built in
gas burner and fill cap. With a net weight of 39 Lbs and ONE PIECE STEEL CONSTRUCTION, the Steam Chief offers strength and portability which other models do not. The 200,000 BTU built in propane burner creates 12 to 14 Lbs. of steam pressure in approximately 6 minutes at 20 degrees air temperature. Tank has a 5 gallon water capacity. The Steam Chief is shipped complete with: 3/8 I.D.
