The Arden "Bazooka" was designed as a simple yet reliable method of chlorination or dechlorination of water mains, hydrant flushing and well disinfection.
It should be noted that with the Arden "Bazooka" the dechlorination agent can be accurately metered. Too much dechlorination solution can be as harmful to the environment as too much chlorine! Other devices on the market have no metering control.

Liquid Dechlorination Applications The Liquid Dechlorination "Bazooka" attaches directly on a 2½ ", 4" or 4½" fire hydrant fitting, or a 2" or 3" riser from a water main. By opening the hydrant valve or riser valve, water passes through the unit creating a vacuum which pulls the dechlorinization chemical from its supply container into the system via the Rotometer Rate Valve Assembly. Tablet Dechlorination Applications The Tablet Dechlorination "Bazooka" attaches directly on a 2 1/2", 4" or 4 1/2" fire-hydrant fitting, or a 2" or 3" riser from a water main.  By opening the hydrant valve or riser valve, water passes through the unit creating a vacuum which pulls the dechlorination solution from the tablet container.  Water is bypassed from the inlet side of the "Bazooka"  via the Rotometer Rate Valve Assembly. The Rotometer Rate Assembly provides precise control of the dechlorination solution strength. The tablet versions will remove up to 3 ppm of chlorine residual, which is ideal for seasonal flushing. The tablet version will not work for waterline disinfections.
