Heavy Duty Chain Strainer-Designed for work in tough
conditions. This strainer was conceived by water department workers who had a
better idea for a strainer used primarily in a mud environment. The hose
and strainer can be removed from the bottom by a backhoe when it gets stuck in
the mud- a common occurrence in the water maintenance or construction field.
In addition the actual suction point of the strainer is dropped to within an
inch of the bottom . The sides are reinforced with steel bars to give the
strainer rigidity even when it's being pounded on the street to get the mud out.

Available in Round or Square Hole
Available with or without chain.

Safety
The CHAIN STRAINER is designed to save work and
reduce the risk of injury when pumping trenches due to water leaks.
◄The strainer is mounted on any standard suction
hose. (Fig 1) The 3' chain attached to the strainer stays in place with
the clamp provided.
When
the hose gets stuck in the mud there is no need to shovel by hand or struggle
with the hose, simply remove the chain from the clamp (Fig 2) and attach the 3"
steel ring to the tooth or hook of your backhoe bucket and remove the hose by
pulling directly on the strainer. No more workers getting stuck in the mud
or hurt backs from pulling on the hose.
